Applying for Residency at St. Clare's
Hospital
St. Clare's Family Practice Residency is an established program offering a
pleasant working environment and support educational opportunities. Our
graduates are well prepared for practice (including Obstetrics) or
academics. We are fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate
Medical Education (ACGME). Our program is currently approved by the American
Osteopathic Association (AOA) for traditional rotating internship with
emphasis in Family Medicine and our residency is pending AOA approval.
The residency is a three year program that commences on July 1 of each year.
Off-cycle positions may be offered subject to availability. We invite
applications for the Residency & Osteopathic Internship from the first week
of September up to December 31 for the upcoming academic year and conduct
interviews September through January. We accept paper applications, although
we encourage our applicants to apply through
ERAS. We
rank potential applicants through the
National Residency Matching
Program and participate in the post-match scramble should the need arise.
During the 2005-2006 interview period, we interviewed 60 candidates from the
600+ eligible applicants.
Our residents hail from countries all over the world with training
backgrounds as diverse as primary care, obstetrics, pathology, anesthesia
and radiology. Many of our alumni practice locally and have excelled in
their areas of interests.
