From Our Residents...
From the warm welcome during my interview, I immediately knew that St. Clare’s would be my new home where I would be nurtured into becoming the kind of physician I had always envisioned myself to be. Being an unopposed program, resident’s involvement is maximized in the care of the young to the old, stable to the critical. The medical complexity and patient load provide both a challenge and opportunity to acquire the necessary skills for the real world. We work under close supervision of our faculty who are very approachable, knowledgeable and above all, an inspiration to us at the beginning of our careers. The excellent ancillary support allows us to focus on what’s vital in our learning as training physicians. Being new to this country, I was a little apprehensive when I started, but the program helped me make the transition smoothly. Indeed, the atmosphere in this special place is quite unique in that it almost feels like you are part of an extended family. Everyone shares his or her joys & fears, successes & failures, feeling safe and secure that the smiles are always genuine and the support is always strong.

St. Clare's Residency program has a lot to offer. As an unopposed program you get great one-on-one training with our specialists, plentiful OB experience and a friendly environment conducive to learning. Our D.O. faculty continues to grow as well, with regular D.O. clinics to sharpen your manipulative skills.

I have been a Radiologist for the last 15 years in Ukraine. I’m happy that I have St Clare's to give me a chance to start my second career in family medicine. I feel comfortable and full of energy with a nice group of colleagues. If you want to practice real medicine, you should consider St Clare's.

St. Clare's FP residency is an unopposed residency. Therefore it affords you ample opportunities that you may not have at university based programs. The community hospital setting puts you in direct contact with attendings from nearly all the specialties. This serves to extend the learning opportunities typically provided by the core faculty. St. Clare's is blessed to have a core group of faculty who are dedicated teachers, mentors, and role models.
